How the syllabus is structured
The 16 modules are grouped into six themed blocks, then a capstone. You build from foundations and strategy, through the execution channels (search, content, paid, social, lifecycle), into measurement and AI, and finish with applied projects and career prep. Each block builds on the last, and AI tools appear throughout rather than as a single afterthought module.
- Blocks 1 to 6: strategy, search (SEO/AEO/GEO), content, paid & social, lifecycle (email/automation/CRO), analytics.
- Woven through: AI tools and prompt engineering in every module.
- Applied: a project mapped to each module, then a capstone campaign.
Strategy & the funnel
Modules 1 to 2: the thinking before the tactics. You learn how digital marketing fits a business, the marketing funnel (awareness to conversion to retention), positioning, buyer personas and the customer journey, so every channel you learn later has a purpose.
- Foundations & the funnel: channels, the funnel, and how they connect to business goals.
- Strategy & positioning: personas, buyer journey, goal-setting and campaign planning.
SEO, AEO & GEO
Modules 3 to 4: getting found in classic search and in AI search. You learn traditional SEO (on-page, technical, off-page) and then the newer disciplines of AEO (answer engine optimisation) and GEO (generative engine optimisation), optimising to be cited by AI Overviews and LLMs, not just to rank blue links.
- SEO fundamentals: on-page, technical and off-page SEO, keyword and intent research.
- AEO & GEO: structured content, featured snippets, AI Overviews and LLM citation.
