Course Unbox collects your personal data when you fill an enquiry or counselling form, enroll in a course, contact us on WhatsApp, phone or email, or browse this website with cookies enabled. We use it to respond to you, run your course, process payments, support your placement, and improve our website. We do not sell your personal data. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have.
The short version
- We collect what you give us: name, email, phone number, occupation, and course details.
- We collect some data automatically: cookies, analytics and device information via Google Tag Manager.
- Placement support means sharing your resume and profile with hiring partners, and we only do that for learners who opt into placement assistance.
- Payments and EMI are processed by third-party payment providers. We never store your full card details.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data at any time by writing to support@courseunbox.com.
1. Who we are
Course Unbox (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a skills training institute operating online and from our centre at Basement 1, Sandesh Tower, C-56/31, C Block, Phase-2, Sector-62, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201309, India.

Under Indian law, Course Unbox is the data fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy.
2. What personal data we collect
Data you give us directly
- Enquiry and counselling forms: name, email address, phone number, and occupation (student, working professional, freelancer, business owner, or other).
- Enrollment and admissions: the details above plus your chosen course, batch preference, learning mode (online or offline), educational background, and any documents you submit.
- Placement support: your resume, work history, skills, project portfolio, certificates earned, and interview availability, if you opt into placement assistance.
- Payments: billing name, contact details, and transaction records. Card, UPI and EMI details are collected and processed by our payment providers, not stored by us.
- Communications: messages you send us on WhatsApp, email, phone, our forms, or social media, including call recordings where we tell you a call is recorded.
- Testimonials, photos and videos: feedback, images and recordings you agree to share, including material for our photo gallery and YouTube channel. We take separate consent before publishing these.
Data collected automatically
- Cookies and similar technologies via Google Tag Manager and analytics tools: pages visited, time on page, approximate location, device and browser type, referral source, and interactions such as button clicks.
- Server logs: IP address, timestamps and request data, kept for security and troubleshooting.
Data from third parties
- If you reach us through an advertisement or a social platform (Google, Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube), we may receive campaign data such as which ad you clicked.
- If a hiring partner gives us feedback on your application during placement support, we record it in your placement file.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18 without verifiable parental or guardian consent. Our programs are intended for learners 18 and above.

You can withdraw any consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already done, and some services (for example placement support) cannot continue without the data they need.
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as follows:
- Hiring partners: if you opt into placement assistance, we share your resume and professional profile with employers in our hiring network so they can consider you for roles. We share what a recruiter reasonably needs, not your payment or enquiry history.
- Service providers: payment gateways and EMI providers, cloud hosting, our class-delivery platforms, email and SMS providers, WhatsApp Business, and analytics providers (Google). Each processes data only on our instructions.
- Advertising platforms: Google and Meta, for measuring and improving our ad campaigns, subject to your cookie choices.
- Legal and safety: courts, regulators or law enforcement where the law requires it, and professional advisers under confidentiality.
- Business changes: if Course Unbox is merged, acquired or restructured, your data may transfer to the successor under this same policy, and we will notify you.
Some providers (for example Google analytics infrastructure) may process data outside India. Where that happens, we transfer data only to countries permitted under applicable Indian law and with contractual safeguards.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Tag Manager to manage analytics and marketing tags. Cookies fall into three groups:
- Essential: needed for the site to work. Always on.
- Analytics: help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- Marketing: help us measure ads and show relevant offers.
You can control cookies in your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them, though blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site. You can also opt out of analytics and advertising cookies through the controls the relevant platform provides.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, and for as long as the law requires:
- Enquiry data that does not lead to enrollment: kept while we are in contact with you about a program, then deleted once the enquiry is closed.
- Learner records and certificates issued: kept for as long as we need to verify your certificate and meet legal and accounting requirements.
- Placement files: kept while your placement support is active, and deleted on request once it ends.
- Payment and tax records: kept as required by Indian tax and accounting law.
- Analytics data: kept for the retention period configured in our analytics tools.
When retention ends, data is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your data, subject to records we must keep by law.
- Withdraw consent for marketing, placement sharing, testimonials or cookies at any time.
- Seek grievance redressal through our Grievance Officer below, and, if unresolved, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
- Nominate a person to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to.
To use any right, email support@courseunbox.com with the subject “Data Request”. We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires it.
If you access our services from outside India, you may have additional rights under your local law, such as the GDPR if you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom. Contact us and we will honour the rights that apply to you.

8. How we protect your data
We use HTTPS across the site, restrict access to personal data to staff who need it for their role, use reputable cloud and payment providers, and review access periodically. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but if a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
9. Third-party links and embeds
Our site links to and embeds content from third parties, including YouTube videos, WhatsApp chat, Instagram and LinkedIn. Those platforms have their own privacy policies, and once you interact with them, their policies apply. We recommend reading them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version, and for significant changes we will notify you by email or a notice on the site before the change takes effect.
